Mindful Reverie Counselling

Honour struggle and celebrate the power that is revived
Hello
My name is Amber
As a therapist, I strive to facilitate an empowering environment where others can safely explore their inner worlds, examine life stories, and embrace the strength and voice within. Healing is a unique journey.
Mental health is never static; it ebbs and flows with the unique realities of our lives through experiences of joy, trauma, growth, loss, relationships and everyday stress. Understandably, some of those moments' impacts will leave us bruised, lost or broken. The concept of becoming overwhelmed by one's thoughts, feelings, or bodily existence can create a sense of chaos and hopelessness; a future that you, the individual daring enough to be in this moment, have determined is but a portion of your journey, not your story.
My approach is eclectic in nature - flexible to the needs of each person, with a dedication to the exploration of trauma and its complexities among individuals, families and veterans. I believe that through connection with others, individuals can develop skills for healthier relationships, deepen clarity, experience the joys of being truly seen and heard, and grow.
As the author of your own life story, you are the voice and strength behind the journey; my role, should you choose, will be to walk alongside you, assisting in the development of knowledge and skills specific to your exploration and recovery of Self.
“My dark days made me stronger. Or maybe I already was strong, and they made me prove it.”

Why Therapy?
Reintroduction to the Voice Within
We all have answers within ourselves, but sometimes we need a guide to help us find them. That’s what therapy can do: It seeks to give you agency over your own life, and shed light on the choices available to you.
Autonomy
It’s as simple as it sounds—trust yourself. If you feel like you need help, seek it. Don’t be ashamed or embarrassed for taking action to improve your mental health, no matter the reason.
Growth
therapy can simply be an opportunity to understand yourself better, to work through areas that are more difficult, and to improve your ability to thrive and cope with adversity
Self-Compassion
It offers the rare opportunity of experiencing accountability and vulnerability. You get to decide that; at this moment, there is something you want to change or perhaps that you wish you hadn’t done. But in the safety of this moment, you are choosing to embrace growth, clarity and new opportunities.
New Beginnings
Beginning therapy may help you cope with life’s challenges in healthier and more productive ways. Therapy can help you discover new ways to approach challenging situations that will support your well-being.
Connection
Life can be challenging at times, but you don’t have to go on this journey alone. You can speak with someone who understands you and validates your feelings.
